The Foster Child Screening Program is a program designed to provide screening, evaluation and referral assistance to children in foster care in the State of Delaware. It is a program designed to provide an in-person response and early intervention for children and families who are experiencing severe environmental stress and/or trauma.

This program serves children and adolescents through age 17 who are in the custody of the Division of Family Services (DFS) and who are entering foster care for the first time or who may be re-entering foster care.

Children entering foster care may be experiencing emotional difficulties which require assessment and intervention. Such services have not always been provided due to a variety of factors. The Delaware State Foster Child Screening Program will prevent any child entering foster care from "falling through the cracks" and will insure that those who require mental health intervention will receive it.

This service is offered for the state of Delaware. Our offices are located in Middletown, Delaware.
