| WHAT |
This process uses a variety of testing tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation
Schedule (ADOS), the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) and the Modified Checklist
for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT). These tools provide a wealth of information which
will help aid in the most accurate diagnosis of the child by a developmental pediatrician
from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. |

In-depth Evaluation of a Child and Family’s Strengths and Needs
- Includes a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) which will summarize what occurs
before the problem behaviors, the problem behaviors themselves, and what reinforces
them.
- Includes a psychiatric or psychological evaluation with recommendations for service. |

Needs Assessment & Comprehensive Plan Development
- Case managers consult with other health professionals to conduct assessment and
develop a plan of treatment
- Facilitate access to services 24 hours a day
- Coordinate care among behavioral health providers and other child-serving systems
- Obtaining basic living needs and skills, such as housing, food, medical care, recreation,
education, and employment. |
