Child Guidance Resource Centers Awarded Pennsylvania Commission Grant on Crime and Delinquency Funding
Grant allows Child Guidance Resource Centers to increase behavior support for students in our Special Education Elementary School Make it stand out
Havertown, PA July 28, 2025: The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) awarded Child Guidance Resource Centers (CGRC) $73,550 as part of their Fiscal Year 2024-25 School Safety grant program. This financial support from the PCCD enables CGRC’s Elementary School staff to enhance our ability to provide high quality educational and emotional support to our students.
CGRC’s state licensed elementary school provides students with a full academic program combined with social emotional support. The objective of the school is to provide each student with emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges with the tools they need to successfully return to their home school district.
“Thanks to the support from the PCCD grant, we’ve been able to make several meaningful investments that directly support student safety, well-being, and social-emotional development.” said Jonathan Clark, Senior Director of CGRC Education Services. “One of the most impactful uses of the funding was to support the hiring of our Behavior Manager who is crucial in helping us build a safer, more responsive school environment for our students.”
With this grant, CGRC also purchased a social emotional learning curriculum which monitors and supports student growth by tracking behavior, social-emotional skills and overall development. Funding will also be used to train school staff in evidence-based behavior modification strategies to enhance our provision of services.
“This grant allows CGRC to continue our mission of assisting children with behavioral issues. Our ability to combine an academic environment with personalized behavior management creates a successful environment for learning and personal growth” Lisa Roberts Cadorette, CEO of CGRC.
