Irish American Heritage Month
Irish American Heritage Month, celebrated annually in March, honors the history, culture, and significant contributions of millions of Irish immigrants and their descendants to the United States. Officially recognized by Congress in 1991, this month coincides with St. Patrick's Day to celebrate Irish American resilience, culture, and achievements in American life.
Greek American Heritage Month
March honors the history, culture, and contributions of Greek Americans to the United States. It coincides with Greek Independence Day on March 25, marking the 1821 start of the Greek War of Independence from the Ottoman Empire.
Women's History Month
Women's History Month, celebrated in March, honors the vital contributions, achievements, and sacrifices of women throughout American history and across the globe.

Development Disabilities Month
Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (March 2026) promotes inclusion, highlights the capabilities of people with developmental disabilities, and challenges barriers to community participation. The 2026 theme, “We're Here. Then, Now, Always,” emphasizes their enduring, integral presence in society. Key activities include wearing orange, advocacy, and educational campaigns.
Passover
Passover 2026 (Pesach) is a major eight-day Jewish festival, from sundown April 1 to nightfall April 9, 2026 (seven days in Israel), commemorating the Biblical Exodus from Egyptian slavery. It is marked by eating matzah (unleavened bread) and removing chametz (leavened grains) to celebrate freedom.
Easter
Easter, or Resurrection Sunday, is a major Christian festival celebrating the belief in Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead after his crucifixion, occurring on the third day following his burial. It marks the culmination of the 40-day Lenten season of fasting and penitence. Celebrated in spring, it blends religious, springtime, and secular traditions like egg hunts, the Easter bunny, and festive meals.
Autism Acceptance Month
April 2026 marks World Autism Acceptance Month, focusing on fostering understanding, promoting inclusion, and celebrating the diverse experiences of autistic individuals. The month aims to move beyond simple awareness to active acceptance by educating communities, supporting neurodiversity, and advocating for policies that ensure support throughout an individual's life.

National Freedom Day

International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Kids Play Zone
At United for Safety, children can enjoy a safe and welcoming space just for them! The Kids' Play Zone will be filled with fun activities, games, and movement-based play—giving kids a chance to relax, explore, and just be kids.
Supervised by caring staff and volunteers, this space is designed to support creative play, social connection, and joyful movement while parents and caregivers engage with other parts of the event. Because every child deserves time to play, even on a day of learning and connection.
