You Are Not Alone.
Nearly 50% of children experience trauma often due to challenging family circumstances, traumatic losses, bullying, and an increase in community and school violence. Trauma affects a child’s behavior and ability to learn.
The free sessions are offered on the first Wednesday and Thursday of each month through August 2026.
Dates/Time: You may choose to attend either session. You do not have to attend the same session each month. Choose the evening that is works for you each month.
1st Wednesday of the Month, 7-8 pm
OR
1st Thursday of the Month, 7-8 pm
We pick topics over the course of the year to meet the specific needs of the group. Each topic is woven into trauma-informed parenting themes such as strengthening attachment bonds, fostering resilience, traumatic stress reduction, and emotional regulation for children, youth and caregivers.

About Your Facilitator
Kathryn Mariani, MA, is the Professional Development Educator at Child Guidance Resource Centers. Kathryn has provided training for two decades in the fields of Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse, and Disabilities. As the parent of a child impacted by trauma, she brings lived experience when supporting others to learn new skills, connect with resources, and practice compassion.
