Adult services

Promoting Acceptance, Independence and Dignity for Everyone.

The Adult residential programs of CGRC are located in four different locations throughout Delaware county, PA. We provide twenty hours a day, seven days per week full care and specialized care to young adults & older adults. Services are provided in an apartment building with multi units, and each apartment is set up like a home-like setting. The goals for each resident center around the development of essential skills needed to live in a less structured setting including in an apartment of their own. Our professional team of staff, including nurses, provide an array of support services, such as medications and behaviors monitoring,  in-home & social skills teaching, activities planning,  etc. The team also provides linkage to external services such as, psychiatry & other medical services, psychiatric rehabilitation programs, as well as social & recreational activities in the community.

Adult Services:

  • Outpatient Therapy

Outpatient Services are an array of office-based services that help with depression, anxiety, stress, anger, self-esteem, ADHD, bereavement or other emotional, social and behavioral difficulties. Following a comprehensive assessment and consultation, we identify your needs and make recommendations for next steps. Generally, sessions are about one hour weekly, though depending on your child’s needs, the cadence can vary.

  • Peer Help in Recovery in an Effective New Dimension (PHRIEND)

PHRIEND is an individualized mentoring program that pairs individuals new to their recovery journey with a certified Peer Support Specialist who understands the unique needs and struggles of recovering from mental illness. Peer Support services focus on six specific areas to help individuals learn how to advocate and care for themselves.

  • Meson Transitional Residential Youth Program

The Meson Transitional Residential Youth Program is a housing community for adults ages 18-25. The TRY program provides a stable and secure environment that allows younger adult clients to learn self-appreciation and build self-esteem. These skills make it possible to live, learn, and thrive independently.

  • Meson Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR) Program

The Meson CRR Program is a long-term community residential service for adults with more significant mental health needs. This living facility homes adults 18 years or older with a history of institutionalization and/or chronic mental illness that makes living independently a struggle.

  • Supportive Housing Aging In Place (SHAIP)

SHAIP is a supportive housing service in Delaware County designed to meet the needs of the older adult (ages 55 and older) priority populations. Residents may include, but are not limited to, medically fragile, individuals with mental illness, co-occurring drug and alcohol disorders, and intellectual disabilities. Residents engage in a comprehensive array of outpatient behavioral health services while they “age in place” in a place they can call home.

  • Specialized Community Residential Rehabilitation (SCRR)

SCRR is a 6-bed facility that houses adults 18 years and older who have a mental health diagnosis, as well as some serious medical conditions. The SCRR services are structured to provide all basic needs, including shelter, meals (congregate and individual), food shopping, laundry facilities, medication monitoring, activities of daily living, socialization, transportation, and environmental safety. This service assists all residents using a strengths-based model, to acquire skills for independent living according to their individual interests and abilities.
