Extended School Year
At Child Guidance Resource Centers (CGRC), our Extended School Year is designed to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by providing structured academic instruction, therapeutic support, and social-emotional skill-building throughout the summer. Our specialized program helps students maintain progress, prevent regression, and build confidence in a supportive, engaging environment. With small class sizes, individualized attention, and a team of experienced educators and clinicians, we ensure each child receives the support they need to succeed.
Focusing on Academics and Fun
Our Emotional Support Extended School Year (ESY) program focuses on maintaining Social Emotional Learning Skills and Academics outlined in each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP). Social Emotional Learning requires positive role modeling and opportunities for stretching and challenging ourselves. ESY’s Summer Fun activities promote these principles.
We promote empowerment of each student through the development of the skills needed for emotional regulation and pro-social interactions. These skills support them with handling both academic and emotional challenges with confidence.
ESY is intended for students entering 1st through 8th grade. The 2025 session begins on Tuesday, June 17th and is operational through Thursday, July 17th. Students attend the program Monday through Thursday 8:30am to 12pm.
