When Your Child Struggles, Finding Help Shouldn’t Be Overwhelming

At CGRC, we understand how hard it can be to watch your child face challenges—and how overwhelming it can feel to find the right support. That’s where we come in. Our compassionate mental health services are designed to help children and teens feel understood, empowered, and supported.

No matter what your family is facing, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Autism programs & services:

  • ABA and Play

ABA and Play is designed to provide effective early support to young children ages 3-5. ABA helps develop communication skills, the ability to follow commands, learn social skills, develop daily skills, and reduce problem behaviors. Our team utilizes a small group setting that promotes learning and skill development through group interaction and individualized goals. Small group sessions take place three days per week for two hours per session.

  • CREATE

CREATE is a year round group outpatient service for children and teens with autism. Participants build social and communication skills, improve problem solving and emotional regulation, and enhance flexibility and motivation. In CREATE, participants make and maintain friendships, enhance communication skills, develop emotional flexibility and regulation. Plus, we work with your family in order to maintain progress and growth.

  • Applied Behavioral Analysis

ABA therapy provides structured, evidence-based support for children, helping them build communication, social, and daily living skills. Through individualized strategies, ABA teaches alternative ways to communicate, fostering independence and reducing problem behaviors. Our goal is to empower children and their families with the tools they need to navigate daily life with confidence and success.

General programs & services:

  • Family First

When your child is struggling, a whole-family approach can make all the difference. In Family First, you are assigned a team of two Master’s level clinicians who work closely with you in the home, school and community to address not only your child’s emotional struggles but the larger systemic issues contributing to your concerns.

  • Functional Family Therapy

FFT is an evidence-based short-term program for youth 11-18 years old. This intensive program averages 12 to 14 sessions over three to five months. Therapists provide services that are conducted in the home, school, and community in order to provide the most effective and beneficial support for long-term change.

  • Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

IBHS is a “wraparound” community-based service that occurs across the home, school, and/or community settings. We work with you to address behavioral health needs using strength-based goals. We teach the child and caregivers skills a positive and age-appropriate manner.

  • Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST)

MST is an evidence based intervention for adolescents ages 12-17 who struggle with chronic, delinquent behavior and/or severe emotional issues. This program addresses behaviors and helps the client and family move in a positive direction. By empowering the caregiver to build supports & set expectations, we help the entire family achieve positive growth & change.

  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PCIT is an evidence based program for children ages 2-7 years that enhances parent-child connection and leads with positive praise and play. Over 15-20 weekly sessions, a clinician coaches caregivers in real time—either behind a two-way mirror or over Zoom—guiding them through play-based interactions and effective responses to challenging behaviors.

  • Truancy and Delinquency Partnership

Regular attendance in school is an important factor in your child's achievement and success. We know that truancy is often a symptom of stress and need in that student's life. Our Truancy and Delinquency Prevention Partnership helps families develop the tools and resources for their students to return to school and reach their potential.

  • Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug Prevention Programs (ATOD)

Child Guidance provides ATOD prevention programming for both Delaware and Montgomery Counties. We provide free family services, community activities, and general education.
